Breeding: Placidochromis Milomo are maternal mouthbrooders like many of the African Cichlids. The male will entice a mate and as the female lays her eggs he will fertilize them. The process continues till all the eggs are fertilized and the female holds them in her mouth for 3-4 weeks during which time she does not eat.
Additional Information: The Super VC-10 Hap is one of the larger of the Haps available in the hobby. Both sexes are arguably beautiful, dominant males develop an electric blue colouring that spreads across the body and is more prominent near the head, they lose the camouflage style stripes that you see in females, juveniles and sub-dom males. These stripes are actually pretty so both sexes are a great addition to your aquarium. This species is solitary in nature and if kept should be limited to one male per aquarium which can be kept with a harem of females along with other large Malawi cichlids such as Haps and Aulonocara.
